Found this badge or pin in the same spot as I have found many Rev war to Civil War era items. It is thin and seems to be made of tin...any help would be great!!

I had the same thought as Fourman110, or possibly decoration from a document box or a book.
Books in the 19thc often had leather covers wrapped around wood slates, this piece may have been attached to the front with small screws.

My interest would be in researching the relevance of the cannon inside the bugle.

progressive sheet metal die stamping was being done long before the civil war came along.

Musical yes. I'd say 19th century as most of the insignia and such in the 18th were of cast metal.

Tried to pull some detail out of it...

That bow is questionable but I don't know if it looks more like bells with the clappers or ears, lol?
