Hello to all the wonderful posters of TN!!

I have researched and piled through information and for the life of me I do not know what this is!

I have read many many post here and everyone kindness and knowledge abounds, this has to be the only forum Ive belonged to where people talk nice!

So with that said, heres some info:

Found in a field near a line of trees near an early colonial and indian defense fort.

The long piece measures 8.5" but appears to have broken off, the short piece is 4.5" and alos appears broken off, there is a square pin holding the short piece onto the long piece. The short piece has a hand forged look to it as it is a square rod hammered to a point and bent around the long round rod.

Any info would be greatly appreciated, I hope to post more and more as I get out and find stuff!!

Thanx and HH,

A80

Do you think it could be an old tool for moving logs and timber. Just a wild guess.
