This is a token I found the other day at the site of an old school. I believe it to be tin or aluminum more likely aluminum. It is bigger than a Qtr for size reference. Probably will never get a positive ID without any geographical info on it but thought someone out there has found one like or close to and gleaned some info on a period it may have come from. I was thinking prohibition era? Thanks for any help Chris

I just checked with the author of the new (this year) book on Chinese-American tokens from the Pacific Coast and he translated the characters on the obverse as "One / Tenth / Dollar". I was hoping it would give some indication as to the issuer >:(

He agreed that it was probably put into use shortly after Prohibition when saloons had to turn to selling just soft drinks.
