I think i'm pretty well versed in old glass but this one has me stumped. Other than the fact that it is vaseline (or uranium) glass, what are these used for? They measure just over 4 1/8" long and 1 1/2" tall x 5/8" thick. Any Ideas?

Also found a unique pair of Levi jeans. I can't find another pair quite like them. The rivets date them to 1982-89. Other than that I got nothing. A special edition of some type I guess?

Maybe a Knife & fork rest ? I like it !

Diggum......I am thinking along the same lines as Mojjax, only I was thinking ladle and serving spoon. Today we see them in the department stores in cheap clear plastic if you get the type or style I am thinking of.

At first glance I was thinking wine but not after seeing the dimensions..

Nice photo, did you use 2 light sources as in one of them being a black light?

I bought a nice blacklight pen that I have with me sometimes if I'm hitting a lot of sales.. I can generally tell but it's nice to have that assurance on some pieces.. Cool find

Believe me, that was my first initial thought. I've searched high and low. I cannot find another piece shaped like this, vaseline glass, plastic or otherwise. I'm famiiar with a couple basic shapes of knife rests, none having a rounded holder portion, it's always flat just like a knife blade. Spoon rests are usually for the most part, spoon shaped to a degree. I've even checked out insulators thinking it might be some type of wire separator or something. Nothing. I just wish I could find something that was shaped like this regardless of the material it is made out of.

Actually, I used the photos that I took without the black light. Flash on the camera only. The photo with the black light didn't look as "glowing". lol

Looks to be some sort of a display stand... goodluck Dig!

Okay, after way too much research on these stupid things, i've went full circle. I'm going with what they lookede like to begin with... knife rests. More specifically, double knife rests. Although I can't find an exact match, I have found a similar in crystal by Baccarat. However, notice they have a pair of them also. So who's to say if that is really what they are. Coincidence? Maybe. -

Now, what about those Levis? Any body ever seen a pair like that before?

A shot in the dark...possibly rolling pin rests or curling iron rest?

Thanks for the links. I don't think the Levi's are knock offs. They have the right stitching and construction. The rivets date them specifically to between '82 and '89. I'm gonna email that guy in the one link you gave me and see what he says. Here is another levis link with lots of info.- Vintage Levi's Jeans Guide

Also, I found a pair with the same patch on ebay here- Levi's Vintage 550 Grand Silver Medal Dark Burgundy Acid Wash Jeans W30 L32 USA | eBay Mine are regular blue jeans but I don't know what style. I think they are a special edition of the time or something. Thanks, i'll let you know what the guy says.
