Need help on a glass item

Hi everyone.

I found this in a thrift shop, for 3 dollars and purchased it. It specifies antique glass- from poland on a label I found on it, it looks like blown glass to me and has a hole in the top.

I am wondering if it is supposed to be used for anything and what exactly it is, other than antique glass? What is the hole for?

Currently I am using it as a centerpiece holding garden roses, as that is simply a use I considered for it, and designated for it.

Can anyone help me with this, any glass fans here?

I'm not a glass person but I think you need a better picture. Take out the flowers and photograph it from the side, top & bottom with a blank background such as a white wall. Also, photograph it outside in natural light but don't have the sun shining on it or near it. The vase should fill the frame of the photo.
