Going from top left to right....A. Is this some kind of remnant of a military medal? If so, can anybody venture a time period/issuing country? Could just be brass but wonder if these commonly came in some kind of precious metal (gold plating? silver plating?) B. Found on a beach (near the water's edge) in California near a community with maritime history going back to the Spanish era. It seems to be part of a circular piece but is relatively thin and lightweight (compared to say, a piece of an iron port hole). I am wondering if it might be part of an old compass or maybe one of those circular deals that encircled old table globes? I know there is not much to go on. C. Top of an old spam jar? Not sure. Would appreciate any thoughts-- thanks!

definitely little tiny (rivet??) holes... i would think they would be more scattered over the top to be a salt shaker. But it has patina-ed over green so I assume it has some age to it.

Regarding the Maltese style cross, this was a popular enough jewelry design, so it may not be military. Contributing to that direction is that the center seems to be missing some element of it which was adhered, which is less common in military medals than having the medal being one solid piece.
Is there red enamel on the arms of the cross? - it may just be my monitor, but it may help ID it to know
