finding a gold ring...specifically the Oviedo/Casselberry area.

My step daughter lost her very expensive gold/diamond engagement ring in her backyard. It is definitely in a small, limited area, and probably not even touching the soil, the St Augustine grass is that thick. There are roofing nails, wire, assorted trash, underground cables, etc... so a good discriminating detector, possibly one that can notch out iron, would be needed.

Do I have any volunteers to do this good deed and find the ring? I will buy you dinner and reimburse you for gas!

Thanks, Tom

If you can't locate someone, check a detector shop and see if they will rent you a machine. You won't have to dig anything. Make sure you can hear pull tabs and start sweeping slowly. On a beep, just use your fingers to search the grass and do this till you find it.

Good Luck,

Sandman

Tom, I sent you a pm. I can get out there tomorrow. Just send me the info.

Let us know if you make it out there & if you are able to find the ring Willie.
I never heard back from the guy. I was all set to go. He's over near Kellyco, so I think he might of took Sandman's advice or found it on his own.

Thanks to all who have replied. I have been bombarded with responses (I also posted on another forum as well) and am sorting them all out. Unfortunately, I am not available right now to meet with anyone and I certainly am not going to give out the address to my step-daughter's house! The ring isn't going anywhere....but the grass is growing! I will private message folks.

Again, thanks to all who responded. I am amazed at all the nice folks here willing to help out. ;D
