Need help Iding these bullets

The two bullets seem to be different lengths and different diameters. Is that right?

The longer one, on the left in the photo, appears to be an unfired civil war yankee .54-caliber Cosmopolitan Carbine bullet. That type's average measurements are:
.538" diameter
.88" length
308 grains (weight)

The shorter one might be a cut-off ("carved") Cosmopolitan... or it might be a different type, called a "Picket" bullet or "Country Rifle" bullet.

For confirmation, please measure them with a caliper and tell us their size in hundredths-of-an-inch.

I don't have a caliper but it's a half inch wide and just over three quarters and inch long. Does that help. Both are the exactly the same size

After looking at the photos I have no doubt that's what they are. It was union cavalry camp that was attacked by confederate cavalry
