First of all, please excuse the crappy quality of the photo. I just took it with a digital camera & you will have to trust me on the details. I found this entire Safety Razor about 45 years ago with my metal detector. It is marked on the part that houses the razor blade as; GEM Brooklyn, New York, Made In U.S.A. on one side, & just GEM on the other side. The handle on mine has the exact same design that your handle has, but there is no identifying marks stamped on it, and the handle screws into & out of the housing. In the link provided below, the history of the "Gem Safety Razor" is explained.
Evidently, a man named Jerry Reichard founded the Gem Cutlery Company in 1898 and the Gem Safety Razor was the company's first product.

" After 23 years working for the Kampfe Brothers Jerry Reichard starts the Gem Cutlery Company in 1898. Its first product, the Gem Safety Razor, borrowed heavily from the Star Razor in design but soon outpaced the Star in sales."

Thanks for the information, I looked further and ours is around 1912

Found this at an early 1900s homesite no longer there. Some one I know thinks it could be part of a gun cleaning kit but not sure. Any ideas? It’s got threads on the tip.
Yup razor handle. Your probably gonna find alot of them.
