Found this object on a CW campsite where I have previously found many Union & Confederate relics. It appears to be quite old and crudely fashioned with pointed ends and a hinge like edge to one side that looks somewhat like an old can opener but not quite. It has me stumped I must confess. I am not sure if it is a relic or not but the site I found it on is a confirmed Confederate skirmish/campsite. It has given me quite a few nice relics including minie balls, a few heel plates, and some rail spikes. Just a few weeks ago found a "U.S." stamped skeleton key plate w/ slide at this location. Any help IDing this would be appreciated.

Here are the pictures.

Those pics are kinda rough to make out... But, kinda looks like parts from a cast iron something, and prolly a hinge.
Gate? Stove? Oven door? :-\ I'd say there is certaily a chance that it's from a "campsite" or whatever came along later (or, was there before) depending on what else is in the area... farm?

Pix are rough, but the thing reminds me of a crudely made shutter hinge from a cabin.

Something like this (this is a modern reproduction)

Thank you TreasureTales I do believe that you pinpointed it. And indeed it would make sense as a hinge. I found a "U.S." stamped brass skeleton key plate with slide just a few feet from this object. I think it would be safe to assume that this was the hinge to some sort of Union strong or ammo box and the key plate was to the same box. Thank you again!

Sentinel, you are very welcome. It isn't often that I get anything even close to identified, and extremely rare if I am right. LOL The hunt is the thing for me, and hunting for an ID is part of the fun. Looking forward to seeing more of your treasures. (and maybe IDing another one or two.)
