Need Help IDing Found in Area that saw Revolutionary War Action

Found in late 1700s area where revolutionary war troops marched through now just a field... Thinking might be part of a musket ball... Other thing I have no clue has a design on it... Any ideas?

Cool finds. Definitely some old lead there. And a linear design on the button? The 3 points on the reverse will help with ID. Someone will know.

I thought it might be a button but now don't know because there isn't anything on it to attach it to anything
