Remember last week when I posted the dandy button, and I said I haven't found an old coin at this site YET? Well here she is, and I have no idea what I dug. In the pics it's next to a large cent and a Draped Bust for size reference. You can barely make it out but the only clear marking is the circular chain linked together.

It's thick, heavy, and crusty.

Can anyone help me figure out what I've found? Thanks in advance team.

I can't wait to read what the experts say about this one. I see chain links....

I also see a chain, in one pictures, but the picture with three, is the third coin, the front on same coin? if so i see a liberty cap, but about all i can make out. so thinking, if two and three are same coin. I am thinking Liberty Cap Cent.

The coin in question is in the middle, between a large cent and draped bust large cent. The middle coin is smaller than both so I wanted to give some reference points.

The 1793 Flowing hair large cent was 26.5mm at 13.48 g, the 1795 cap liberty was 29mm at 13.48 g and the 1831 Liberty/Matron head was 28.5 mm and 10.89 g, that looks close as far as sizes go.

When I Googled the size of the 1793 Chain Cent I found one description that said it was just a little larger than a modern quarter, and this is. I'll measure it as soon as I can to be sure, but the more I look into this the more I'm convinced I have something special here.
