What I see is quartz, white and smokey, and the darker material which remindes me of limonite all mixed together. There maybe hematite in it as well. All I can say is it came from a heavily mineralized source. Many rock collectors simply pick up things they like, so if you like it great. :)

Thanks I looked up hematite and I also looked at the stone with a magnifier and there's definitely hematite in it but more along the lines of red hematite. And thanks for the help I appreciate it!
