need help identifying

I found this relic earlier in this year at what we believe to be a camp. It still has a little bit of wood on the inside. The top of it is open almost like it went on the end of something. I have some ideas of what it is but I don't want to jump to conclusions before I get other opinions.. thank u in advance

Can we see a couple other angles as well as the wood that's left in it?

And please take the shots next to a common item like a cigarette lighter or soda can.
