I am having a hard time identifying what this item came from or what it was used for. It is threaded at the bottom. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

It is the handle off of a scythe. It would have slipped over the main shaft. It had a wood handle that fit over the threaded end and a nut on the end to tighten it to the main shaft.
