Need help identifying this please.

I found a tag that reads city of p 354 1895 or 895. I live 2 miles from the city of petersburg va. It's not a slave tag because of the year. What can it be? I did remove an old door outside but this looks like it surfaced from the ground after a hard raid. Any ideas? It's round the size of a quarter and metal. Thanks
