Dug this morning around where a couple of old homesites once stood. There is writing at the bottom back of the button but all I can make out is K R A even with my strongest loupe. Unsure of the composition. Any insights are greatly appreciated!! Have a great weekend! IMG_1383.jpeg

when I fist looked at the button shank side, I thought your camera had taken the img reversed
then I looked at the coin & shank side img, and realized the mark was imbedded backwards
img flipped, & img with coin flipped

My Google-Fu fails to turn up a match. Which means I'm not looking hard enough.

Thank you CW! That is something I did not consider. At least I have some starting point now.

On the left side of the cross is probably the word "TRADE"
These eyes see the "E"
Don in SoCal

Agree! It says "TRADE MARK" around some kind of device that looks a bit lik a stylised grapple anchor. It's not a trade mark I recognise and will probably be difficult to look up since there's no symbol to indicate it has been registered.

Thanks for the reply RC! I agree with you in that I don’t think I will have much luck identifying.

I looked around at link, but unsure how to describe it or a guess to age of it
it is stamped in reverse, I think the co. would have corrected that,& the cross
or t & the MM or as suggested mountain peaks are in an octagon like a stop sign
when was the word trade mark replaced with the TM

at this link once you do the which ever type of search from the drop down tab
it offers dead canceled or abandoned & a live option you can turn off

Thanks again CW !! Was not aware of this resource. I’m gonna play with it and see what comes up. Thanks for taking the time. I’ll keep you posted on what I find out 👍
