Found this in the trash and decided to take it with me because it looked interesting. Had trouble identifying what it was, any help would be appreciated. IMG_23841.jpgIMG_67061.jpgIMG_75431.jpg

Interesting item. Can you tell us what type of metal it might be? Can you give us a hint on its size? Looks 'smallish', but maybe not?

It's 8 inch by 4 inch, from the looks of it it might be copper or some brownish metal

Looks like a piece of Judaica representing the Bar Kokhba Revolt (coin) (2nd Century) - The design shows the 12 tribes of Israel. Doubt it is an antique piece, perhaps purchased from Museum gift shop?

don't know anything about it, but it appears to be made as a paperweight

I agree with deepsecrets that it is religeous in origin and offer this avenue for research. It may be authentic as items salvaged from damaged religeous buildings are commonly salvaged and preserved.the sale of these items helped with new construction costs.european church entry doors were often festooned with elaborate viewing ports and such.
