Need help identifying stone ball from Greece sea

Hi all! During my vacation in Greece I was free diving when I found this small ball made of stone located 20 to 30 meters from the beach. Ball is not perfectly round but it also doesn't look like natural made. Color is dark brown with some white coverings.

Could this be stone cannonball?

It could easily be a stone cannon ball. The stone ones were some of the earliest ones.

Might also be a ballast stone.
