Picked this up at a local beach today.
Although there are no markings, it did test silver. Each of the three sections measure about 1/2 inch, but it was rolled up into a circle when I found it. I tried straightening it out, but snapped one of the sections off!
The other piece looks like gold. Looks like there may be a marking on it, but it's so small I can't definitively tell if it's gold. Weighs less than 1/10 of a gram anyway. It reminds me of a fishing swivel (found a pic on the internet), but I'm fairly certain this one is gold and it was connected when I located it but fell off as soon as it was out of the hole, so I couldn't inspect how it was attached.
My guess is it is some sort of sterling pendant but I have no idea what that clasp-looking-thing is or how it functioned. Any thoughts?
Thanks!
