Need help identifying possible Arizona/Mexico early indian copper trade ingots

I purchased these two little pieces from Jeff Hengesbaugh at the Objects of Art antique show over the weekend in Santa Fe. He specializes in early Spanish Colonial and Indian artifacts Exposing History
Jeff said these were possibly early copper trade ingots from Arizona or Mexico used by indians. They came from an indian artifact collection in New Mexico.
The holes on the top of each one were punched with a square nail. That's really all the info I have on them and they're interesting little pieces so I came here to see what you guys thought.

Jeff is a buddy of mine, never saw these pieces. I have never heard of Indian copper like these, i have found copper pieces and native nuggets. I have a burden board and shackles from Janos Chihuahua that were probably used to carry copper ore from Santa Rita to the smelter at Hacienda Corralitos by Manso or Suma peoples that were close when the Spanish arrived. The piece of copper is a splash from the smelter

looks to thick to be anyway sounds like youve been finding lots of cool stuff
