Hi and hope all is well. And thank you in advance for any help on this piece. I’ve had this piece for a few years. It was so unique that I nabbed it at the estate sale. Paid less than $10 for it. It has 3 black birds as the planters feet. And has a odd design for the exterior of the planter. Inside the planter it’s a green glaze. There is no markings. Just a black circle underneath. I am hoping somebody on this board may have some info on it. I am thinking it has some age. I couldn’t find my tape measure to measure it, but I’m guessing around 4 inches tall and around 7-8 wide. I like it!

I’m going to guess it’s vintage/modern Mexican pottery, inspired by ceramic-ware from the pre-Columbian Colima Culture of Mexico. Compare to this “Vessel in the Form of a Squash with Parrot Supports, A.D. 1 to A.D. 200, Colima Culture, Mexico.”

That one is a museum piece, currently in the Art Institute Chicago. Yours is clearly not ancient.
