Western AmericaSuperb “Buffalo Bill” Copper Medallion

“Buffalo Bill” Copper Medallion, N.J. Schloss & Co., NY, Superb Gem.
1.25” x 1.25” rounded square medallion has an impressed image of “Buffalo Bill” (William Cody) on horseback, touching the tip of his hat with one hand. Copper pin attached at top. The reverse has the maker’s imprint in the center, and slogans along the border: ‘EXCELLENCE, GOOD QUALITY, ORIGINALITY, FINE STYLE.” Impression of Buffalo Bill is very sharp and detailed; his name is a little lightly struck on the first “B” and the last “O” in Buffalo. Ex. Andrew Zabriske Collection, Sotheby’s 1999.# Estimate $450 - $650
# Starting Bid $270
