I just found this pin in my mom’s old jewelry box. I’m having trouble finding any information or any pins like it. I’ve come across some plates with similar artwork that say “Antique Royal Vienna”, but that’s about as far as I’ve gotten on my own.

Any information would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Really nice brooch. Please post clear pictures of the clasp from the side from different directions. It might be possible to narrow the age by the type of clasp it is.

Ok, I finally got ahold of a magnifying glass! Still tough to make out, but better than the last photos

Can you take a pic of this item next to a quarter for scale.

I don't think this piece started out life as a brooch, to me it appears to be repurposed. The back pin attachment looks to have been glued and the piece itself was likely attached to something else at some point in it's life. I'm trying to figure out what's been going on with the reverse side of this piece, as it's beautifully decorated, but why go to the effort if it was intended to be worn as a brooch.

There are also small holes at both ends of this piece, this is what makes me think it was repurposed from something else. I'm thinking it may have been the top of a small make-up compact or possibly a snuff box, this is why I'd like to know the size. :icon_scratch:
