Fisher Gold Bug DP, Fisher F19 LTD, Minelab Safari, Garrett AT Pro, Garrett AT Pro Pointer, Garrett Pro Pointer, Lesche Digger, Lesche Ground Shark Shovel, 9.5x5.5 NEL Sharpshooter Coil (Safari), 9.5x
While me and my wife was metal detecting a yard of an old home and adjoining corn fields that have produced some Colonial finds and 1800's finds, she found this pewter button with the Minelab Safari. It appears to be pretty old and has a peculiar design on the front and (although missing) had the true loop shank.
Anybody is more than welcome to jump in and solve this mystery. Thanks and HH. :metaldetector:

A pewter button with a mold seam on the back would probably date from the 1750's or earlier.

CoilyGirl, your profile shows you in Nashville. Is that current? Do you ever get to hunt any of Southern KY like Franklin or surrounding areas?

Yep Native Nashvillian. We haven't hunted in Kentucky but have hunted a little right on the border. I found a really sweet Colonial strap guide last month, fun find. I think it's super cool you and your wife detect together like us,not too many teams like that.
