Both items appear to be post WWII. Genuine Satsuma does not have any English writing on it. It dates 1880s-1920's, but was widely copied later on.

Right after WWII, Japanese items typically say Made in Occupied Japan.

Sorry I can't help with the makers. :(

 second picture says Imari its a city in kyushu (south of Japan) they make famous plates the mark just shows that its from there and its real. check this out its in japanese but you can see the pictures of plates.
