I need help identifing this rock with orange/yellow translucent windows on it. It was found where alot of geodes are present. I have a couple of pics show the orange nodes that when you put a flashlight next to they glow. Could this be a citrine? Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks very much

see if a piece of that orange looking stuff will cut glass

if it crumbles, breaks, or does not cut glass, I would say its calcite, looks like some stuff found in florida around miami

if it cuts glass with no problem, its a hardness of at least 5 or so, then see if it will scratch a quartz crystal

if yes, then its a crystal gem, most probably, if it does not scratch quartz crystal, its somewhere between 5 and 8 to 8.5 in hardness, and that narrows it down some.

Does it show any crystal form at breaks or on other parts of rock? squares planes, or like fans shapes at the breaks?

Looks like one or more of the types of silica: quartz, chalcedony, and/or opal. The orange coloration may be from iron oxides.
