to far a way but thanks..I would bring several detectors just in case...

Are you primarily relic hunting? When you say 'camp', what exactly do you mean? Approximately how far is your site from Waxahachie (south Dallas)? It may be farther than I want to trek. Regardless of how you answer...GL and HH. I'll let you know if I'm interested and THANKS for the offer.

Not particularly just for relics, I usually like the coins but here there is nothing in particular. This land has old wagon trails and a couple of the old properties were old coach stops and one bit of land was a supposed old postal stop for the pony e. The land is all split up with different owners but the ones I spoke to and allowed me to hunt, the huntable land is hundreds of acres.

Likely. Somewhere over your way there was an Confederate artillery training camp. The problem is that records of exactly where seem sketchy in Texas. Im supposed to have around 60 winter-over bivouac camps and a quartermasters depot nearby me..... but only 2 of them are marked for posterity.....and you dont detect there. Go get em.... any private property to hunt is good huntin to me.

I agree lankemonster, virgin ground is hard to come by these days. I work these areas periodically, this texas heat is a killer though! When i go now, i got to get out there by usually 7 am.
