Found this shoebuckle in southern New Jersey. Was hoping to get more information on it possibly a manufacturer/age range. Thanks

No offense but you really don't know what you have there, do you? My advise to you is, go back.

Go back to where I found it? I'm assuming it isn't a shoe buckle and you know what it is? Perhaps you could enlighten me further

You are asking for help as to how to date a shoe buckle ? Hmmm, ok, how about soft music, a bottle of wine, candle-light, etc... Although I have to say, I'm not really into dating shoe buckles. But ... to each his own :dontknow:

It's a shoe buckle my friend, and a spectacular one at that. 1700's. Go back and pound the hell out of that site.

Awesome man thanks for the info. Can't believe it's 1700s but it makes sense. Going back tomorrow will post additional finds.

Defininately 3rd quarter of the 18th century. They are seldom found whole like yours. Go back and find those big bucks buttons.

I would post this buckle in today's finds. Many would enjoy seeing it.

You are on a good OLD site.
