the lion and unicorn under a crown are british symbols to the core * what does the wording on the back mark say? --and can you make out the wording on the fronts banner ?

that is exactly what I thought.... it was britsh made... but then again there are alot of more modern buttons that borrow british themes for buttons an other items

sudo-british, made up to look similar but its another of these modern blazer buttons - its all fantasy

I have to agree with Crusader on this one. It looks like a modern Blazer button meant to look like a European/British Military button

Most likely it's just a copy style. Might be a fashion blazer or a school button if the motto is in Latin. I believe a real British coat of arms button would have a clear manufacturer as a backmark and most likely with their address. British were so thorough about that. I wish I could post the coat button I found last week (don't have my camera at the moment) dated WWI and marked 'E Armfield & Co Birmingham'. The lion and unicorn look quite different and they cover the entire button.

I'd research the Royal Army before you start saying its a civilian button. :read2: Looks silver to me or silver gilt and from the Royal Army. :o You know the Queen and all.... Great find !! :icon_thumleft: :headbang: My guess from the back of the button is its a Modern Royal Army Button. :icon_scratch: However the back mark dose not add up. So I'm likely wrong.... :dontknow:

Keep @ it and HH !! ;D :D

A little bit of independant research won't harm anyone. Sometimes you can get what others missed :icon_thumright:
