Need button ID help

I dug this today at an old cellar hole in the woods. The button is the exact size of a quarter, flat and appears to be copper. It says waterbury button ?, has 3 tiny stars after before waterbury. I also found these two other things.

Looks like "WATERBURY BUTTON CO." That backmark has been in use from the late 1840s, onward.

But the button looks like just a flat button with a ridged design on the front from what I can tell--so it is likely 1840-60.
