I found this bullet over the weekend at the site of a old confederate fort and cannot match it up in my bullet book . It resembles a whitworth but there is no cone just a hole that goes all the way to the end , it is exactly 3/8's of a inch wide and exactly 1 inch in length and the hole is exactly 3/16's of a inch wide and kind of triangle shaped and its been fired . I can weigh it if need be but hopping a bullet expert can id it ... sorry about the blurry pics having camera issue's hoping the wife will buy me a good one for my birthday .... thanks for looking ....

Sorry to have to disappoint you ...but there was no civil war bullet which measures 1.0-inch-long by 3/8-inch-wide. So, the bullet you found cannot be from the civil war era.
