Hello!
I'm a newly registered fellow so go easy! (although I've been reading this forum for years).

If this post isn't allowed here, just give it the boot!

I have a token. I know it's token, which means a lot of the "IDing" is done. ;D
I also posted it in the token forum, but wanted to get it here, too, for more exposure.

Like I said, if that's not allowed, either notify me for removal, or just kindly delete it.

Here it is:
I believe it's copper. It's about the size of the quarter.
I can read "office saloon" "miami tex" and "good for drink"

If someone can ID it, I'd be mighty grateful!

Can't tell you much about that particular token, but usually tokens from saloons and bars were used like a "rain check" someone ordered a round of drinks and your wife or husband was on the phone telling you to get home or else. So the bartender gave you a token and you redeemed it later for the drink that was already paid for. If the Office Saloon is still going they'll gladly redeem your token now.

Thanks for the info fellas!
I don't think I'll be redeeming this one for a budweiser anytime soon.. ;)

The guys in token forum were telling me it appears to be unlisted, and that I may have a keeper. YAY!

Yes, you have a "super Keeper" ! If you get in the neighborhood, visit the River Valley Pioneer Museum in Canadian, Texas. They have exhibits on the efforts of the WCTU to close the saloons in their place. So they stopped serving whiskey even before national prohibition.
