It's an English bottle. The KCB monogram is for the Kilner Brothers, with the C representing their Conisbrough works in Yorkshire. The number below is a pattern number but I've not seen a list that enables them to be dated. That monogram was in use between 1863-1937
We've never been a particularly prominent producer of wines, nor an exporter of empty bottles. I suppose it might have held a cheap hock imported in bulk and bottled here. I don't know what else it might have held.
