I found these bells about 30 feet away from a very old stone foundation. I am not sure how old they might be. Any info any of you might be able to tell me will be appreciated. The bells have some weight to them for their size. they all differ slightly but measure about the same size. 2" 3/8 wide at the bottom about 1" at the top and approximately 2 " high looks like they all were attached to a 1" wide leather strap that has mostly rotted away. Thanks for looking TC

DH, welcome to TNET I'll take a guess that they are late 1800's early 1900's based on the leather and iron attachment still present.
And they still have the clapper. On older items those things are generally gone completely. Nice find keep at it better things to come. HH

Greetings & Welcome,
Ive been on a bell roll lately myself, 3 in 3 weeks.
Agree with dates stated, leather strap probably Livestock related bell in Pic # 5 appears older,
The others may be shool or dinner bells
check for ones with multiple clappers (or evidence of them, these are 'sanctus bells' from Catholic church.) pix 3 & 4 below
I see some similarities in our bells, believe the flared ones are oldest.
great digs! hope to see more! :icon_thumleft:

Thanks for the info do you think that polishing them up or possibly trying to restore them is a good idea. I don't think there is any real value to the bells is there? Thanks again everyone for helping me with one of my finds!

Not a bell expert, looks like at least 2 of yours are nickel plated,
polishing may damage this, I'd say clean with soap & water, Oil, & display.
