I found a mound of metal balls about the size of a large marble. There must be a few tons of it and its in open territory so its not being taken illegally. It is known but nobody wants to take the time to do the work or maybe its worthless. The balls are rumored to have been spilled off of a train that tipped over somewhere in between the 1930s and 1960s. Rumor has it the balls are copper balls but not pure. So it is a mixture of copper and maybe 2 other metals. I heard they were used as a filler metal or something for something that was being manufactured at the time maybe to be melted down into molten metal for some factory. Can anybody give me any advice on how to get the balls tested to see if they are of worth? Especially because of the fact that there is so much of it. It has to be worth some labor. I feel nobody is cleaning it up or taking it loads at a time because there is no road access to it and the only kind of train that runs the tracks now are tourist train. If it is of worth the only way to load it out would be by small non motorized boat because its on a river bank next to some whitewater rapids. any advice would be helpful. I have samples i can posts some pics if needed.
