Hello Everyone and thanks for taking a look at these interesting Rocks I found today at a yard sale buried in an old suitcase wrapped in some old clothes.
I actually found several different type of Rocks in the same case. Sometime in the near future I will try and post some of the remaining ones I can't figure out on my own. Just wanted to know if I stumbled on anything good?
Any help from you collectors would be appreciated, here are 2 specimens.
The first item (the one with crystals) weighs 15.0 oz. The dimensions are: 3 1/4" x 3" x 2". The second item weighs 2.3 oz. The dimensions are 2 1/2" x 2" x 1". I'm kinda new to the site and hope I'm not being too forward.
Anyways Hello from California!

Both beautiful specimens....
First one looks like quartz crystals, second one looks like a turquoise rock, with what is one of the nicest turquoise colors I have seen in a while...
Congrats on a great yard sale find...

I'm leaning a bit towards Aquamarine on that last sample.

The first one does indeed have quartz, but it looks like there is something else in there to. Something I'm not to sure off what it is.

MrLee, Hmm.. yes the greenish blue stone is translucent when held up to light, so it may be an Aquamarine? Cause I never seen a Turquoise translucent, but not certain if thats not a possibility. I must say the colors when light passes through it brings out an amazing difference. ???

Thanks for the info on this one guys I think that FreddyJ might have nailed it on this one :)
Amazonite is a beautiful green variety of microcline feldspar.
Not sure about the first rock yet?
