Hi;

I am on the hunt for a light weight relic machine that is minimal programing. I sold my F75 because it was too much of a load on my lower back issues (bulging discs). Bought a Deus XP but that machine has been a PITA from day one with charge running out after a few hours and getting it to switch coils etc. I liked the weight of it but this machine is more for someone who likes to tinker with settings. I will be trading it or selling it to get something simpler.

I'm looking for a light weight machine that gets good depth and will be using it in a low mineralized soil. Recommendations?

I like my analog Tesoro , and it’s almost Turn on and go, and quite
light weight.
Shop around and watch videos of some you think might work. Company websites should give the weights, also dealerships should give you info over phone….
Good luck and happy hunting!

I'll only comment on your statement about the Deus charge running out after a few hours, it sounds like it may be defective. I have both the Deus 1 and 2 and they hold their charge through days of hunting.

According to Bart from Big Boy Hobbies (one of our sponsors) the Legend is a turn-on-and-go machine right out of the box.

Did you buy the Deus new or used?
From having both the Deus l & 2 I can honestly say that my battery life ran out well before the machine did.
So if new then you are in store for a replacement as warranty would cover the unit.
If used just send it in for a new battery switch if over the warranty time.

Haven't used one personally, but the Minelab Vanquish series are supposed to be pretty good.
