I'm not sure what type of material this point is made of, but it sure is different. Found in a field near a creek in SW North Dakota. I believe it's Late Archaic, possibly a Yonkee or a Pelican Lake variant. It's 1 1/2" long.
Thanks for all the comments and suggestions. I'm beginning to wonder if it's maybe a type of silicified wood. Southwest ND is abundant in agatized/silicified woods, it's all over the fields and all different colors. Southwest ND is also my favorite place to hunt, one of the most beautiful places on earth. A buddy of mine found a perfect Clovis about 15 miles from where I found this point! He also found a perfect Folsom point, a miniature one, perfect in everyway, but the size of a dime!
