near scrapgazam

Visited the share shed at the local dump today. Almost had a scrapgazam. When i spotted gold plate sticking out of a beat up old box. Its lenses for welding helmets. I thought the whole box was gold plated lenses but sadly it was just the one. Still a nice score from the dump thought.

Astronauts helmets are plated gold. Shields the UV rays from the sun.
