Just HAD to find something old. So I hit the corn field with Bill for 2 hours today trudging thru the wet rows of corn and managed a couple small flat buttons, piece of a cufflink, a small buck shot, and this pristine 1864 2 cent piece! It's been a couple years since I found one of these! 20170806_092907.jpg20170806_092846.jpg20170806_092831.jpg

Pristine??? There has to be a stronger word to describe that thing.

Congrats!

Well you certainly found something old.:headbang:

Gorgeous! Mine came out looking like crap. It this is superb! I had to check to see if it was a small motto variant but it looks like it's a large motto. Awesome score!!

Congratualtions on the beautiful two cent piece! :occasion14:

Beautiful 2 center, I think they are one of the prettiest designed coins, congrats on it and your other nice finds

Wow. That thing looks like it was just minted! Congrats.

That marvelous example of vintage US coinage is why us crazies "trudge" through rows of corn and combat skeeters and sweat buckets!:headbang: That one I reckon has gone very close to the top of your best recovered coins list. Congrats on a real beauty.:icon_salut:

wow, totally awesome coin, can't believe how beautiful it is. love the cuff link too

That is perhaps the finest example I have ever seen pulled from the ground. Dang that is a beautiful coin. Congrats on all the finds but that 2 cent piece is just insane.

That thing is incredible. Congrats!
