Welcome back Patriot - so sorry for your loss. Weโ€™re glad youโ€™re back and look forward to more posts. This one is a true historical treasure! Congrats!! :occasion14:

Wow, amazing condition for a 1700's pewter button! There's one on eBay right now with a $2,500 price tag and your button is in much better condition than that one. Great find!

Very nice, its always hard to explain when a non-water (under water mud) find comes out so much better than it should - Congrats.

Sorry to hear about the loss of a family member buddy. When a guy like me sees a Rev button like that itโ€™s like looking at a unicorn. Rev buttons are extremely hard to find in Maine where I live. The condition of that is amazing. Iโ€™ll slap down a BANNER vote. I challenge somebody to show me a better condition RP pewter

WOW WOW. WOW , damn Iโ€™m thinking banner

Iโ€™m going to vote banner. Nicest pewter button Iโ€™ve seen
Ever !!

You are so right Cru..we were saying the exact same thing...
I remember one spot we dug over 500 coins and 2000 buttons in a small area on a heavyily farmed and ploughed area..only a very small fraction of them had significant details on them
