Nazi Mother's Cross, Swastika Badge and a boar's tooth...
It defrosted here in Germany. Detected a few fields of red dirt in a neighboring town, highly mineralized but no problem detecting. The dirt is tough on the finds here. A few of the better finds from the red dirt fields. A poor condition swastika badge made of zinc. Obverse.
Reverse of the badge. Amazing the pin held up so well and better than the badge did in this soil.
A metal boar’s tooth or cast. 1 3/16ths”/30mm long. Possibly a pendant or maybe a hunter’s vest or hat decoration. I did find a few brass ammo casings close by.

A very poor condition Nazi Mother’s Cross. The red dirt is relentless on metal relics here. It was heavily encrusted, all the blue and white enameling gone. I had to grind off the crust with a Dremel tool. It looks like this was a silver Mother’s Cross, for having 6 Aryan children for the cause. In the middle is a swastika, hard to make out.
Reverse. Engraved is 16 December 1938, “Hitler’s Signature”. They were not given out until 1939. We had another 2” of snow today but it is thawed and I can hunt! HH, Mike
