Hello from oregon,where it rains only twice a year--- Jan 1st-june30th and fromJuly1st -Dec31st.I am new at this metal dectecting and just bought a new one to try out.It even came with batteries!! which i soon found out where already dead.I hope to have a good time in trying to find things and maybe with some luck i will.oregon has some great places to look and I've got a few places to start out, We have alot of parks here and old farms ranches ect.Wish me luck and have a good new year . 8)

do you mean a private message? if so, click on the persons name, scroll down towards the bottom left of the page and you will see a link.

if you mean insert a quote like this, at the top right of that persons post there is a tab that says "quote". click that, hit enter a time or two to move the cursor down a bit and make your post.
 

::)Thank you folks I think i figured some of this out, and will try to do this better. On a funny note, Now that I have a metal detector(Boutny Hunter) I wish now i didn't through all those beer tabs away over the last 20 years near by barn !!!!

We are far on the East Coast....Virginia Beach to be exact (and with you being Navy...I bet you saw some time in Good Ol' Nah-Faulk Virginia!!)

8)HI DIGGER AND EVERYONE,Iwas never in Norfolk!! All my time was in the pacific.As many of us older vets, I was in Vietnam from 1966-1969, in and out of country several times. Did most on Tin Can (gunfire support for my dearly good MARNIES and ARMY Troops. Other part was support down in the Mekong Delta supporting along with the Brown Water Navy.( here we are still fighting wars!! I wish it would end for all of us).Hope everyone had alot of goodies for x-mas(good food)See Ya! ps Watch OSU Beavers kick the tar out of the "Terps" friday night
