I had been hunting one of my old standby places I had put in a couple of hours for three days after work this pass week and couldn't get out yesterday but slip out for three hours this morning same area where I had been finding frags I started out with a Enfield with rosewood plug a couple more Enfields, some three ringers, rivet w/leather more frags and then started digging a weak signal at the base of a pine tree 10"down and under the tree the fuze popped out that was a surprize. Fuze was marked ORD D w/anchor and on the bottom 1861 It's a Navy water cap fuze.
It's been two years since the last fuse I've found the dry spell ended. Today temp.was 70 degrees tomorrows forcast is 6 to 10" of snow? Pictures in order 1st.Todays Finds 2nd. Naval Fuse 3rd. Last four days.
