Camped here this week for 3 nights. Camped at Arboles Point on the east side of the lake, pretty close to where the San Juan and Piedras rivers run together. Great weather, but quite a bit of rain yesterday and last night. Saw quite a few turkeys. Fished and surveyed the area for artifacts, and found one nifty little tool that I tried to convince the wife was a relic from Dominguez-Escalante expedition, but she wouldn't buy it.

Great rainbow shot. Now ya got new camping gizmo. I thought they call those a scatchet, but that's another bit different type of little handy doodad.

Nice photos, we used to go here when I was younger on the NM side. :icon_thumleft:

That my friend is a Roofing hammer. Pull cut/split hammer shingles. Its for wood shakes

Perhaps the Dominguez-Escalante expedition was needing to put a shake roof on a cabin they built. ???

Hey RGINN!! Sounds as if your wife is smarter than you thought!! He He!! Anyway, GOOD LUCK and GOOD HUNTING!! VERDE!!

Is the hammer still usable?

Great Rainbow Shot.
