I keep a T2 in the car as a fast, light detector for checking out new sites. If I want to really find anything at depth I go back with a Nautilus DMC II-B. I use the 8" or 10" Triaxial concentric.
It will kill most detectors (I keep Whites, Minelab, Arado, XP and several other brands and those who want can compare them). To do this you need the B not the Ba for its extra sensitivity range. Then ignore any idea of I.D. by audio because though it works you won't be getting maximum depth. If your happy with just ferrous/non ferrous I.D. its still one to beat.
Drawbacks ? It could do with a battery check meter. Extreme mineralisation sites will give you trouble though you may still be able to order a Low-Q coil rather than the stock Hi-Q ones which will help. Expensive to run on alkalines as the four PP3's only last around 12 to 15 hours. Fit NiMH's... they can be charged on board.
Its the only detector I have two of. Saves time on coil changes. Was rather heavy at 4lbs 14ozs with its rather odd sort of double S handle. New ones can be bought with a Whites shaft which make them feel light and provides perfect balance.
