I saw this stone in my hole the other day today I dug it out. I have been digging lots of 1800’s broken plates and buttons thimbles stuff like that and I thought maybe it was a foundation stone. Then I get it out it’s dished on both sides in the
Middle of the stone. Guess it could be natural but I don’t think so.

The Indians used those to grind corn and nuts for cooking and food. nice find if you look closely you might find the grinding stone also. Charley2hats

Yeah I have a grinding stone or what I beleive to have been one fits it perfect but it came from another location several miles
Away so I know it’s not the one that went with it.

Looks to be a grinding stone base to me. Post some pictures of it taken outside preferably.

Best I can do there is a clear depression on both sides of the stone. I used a pen to show the spots. Outside didn’t make theM
Any more visible
