Native American Tools?

These were collected in Orange County New York, I was told years ago that they were Native American tools but have been skeptical. I figured it was about time I post them here and let the experts decide. Thanks for any help you guys can give me. I actually had them in an aquarium so there is some algae growth on them.

The middle one possibly,the others nothing I see seperates them from "just a rock".

I shouldnt be so quick to judge,without actually holding them,it is tough to make a definitive assessment.The one in the middle definitely looked "used".

All of them fit quite comfortably in the hand which led me to think if they were tools perhaps they were hammers of sorts. The one on the far left even has a nice grove where my thumb fits perfectly. Perhaps it was crafted that way? Or perhaps it is just coincidental? It would be cool if they were actual artifacts but if not they can go back to being fish tank decor.

Pestle's or "grinding stones" for sure the middle. I would like to see more detailed pics of the two outer stones.

They may be geofacts. Look like something but are natural. I do not see any wear use. Unless the center stone was found in context with other artifacts it may be hard to associate it with ancient man. Interesting shapes and all worth picking up and a second look though.

If tools, they will show wear marks.

I think you'll have a better chance of them being identified if you post close-up, well-lighted photos of the ends of the pieces.

Tools for what? I think they're all just geofacts, but the middle one is interesting. A closer examination for wear marks, and determining if they were found in conjunction with other known Indian artifacts or in a documented archaeological site might validate them.

The piece in the center looks like a variation of a celt. Google www.ou.edu/cas/archsur/OKArtifact/celt.htm for some pics to compare. The piece on the left looks like it maybe has been worked on the right side and bottom end but hard to tell for sure with picture. How thick is the piece on the left and is the material flint?

From a novice point of view, I'd throw them back into the fish environs...

I have a large area in my landscape using Mexican Beach Peebles that are similar in shape.

Probably considered as a JUSTA or Sex Rock (Just a Another F'ing Rock)...

I have collected Native American artifacts for thirty plus years and do not consider myself an expert by any means but the oval piece is not one I would toss out. A stone like that may be common in some parts of the country however if it were found here where I live it would be in someone's collection.

I'd keep the oval piece, too. I can see a use for that, maybe a grinder and if I could figure out how to mount it a pretty lethal war club. I can't see a specific use for the other two, though. Keep in mind, many things we don't recognize as artifacts could be items that were whipped out on the spur of the moment and used for the task at hand, then discarded.
