My son who is disabled almost daily if not several times a day goes to the lakes close to where we live to look for rocks. We live by some old sand pit lakes along the platte river in Nebraska. He brings home some interesting rocks. I was curious if these where just weird formed rocks or if they where once native American tools. Thank you for any help anyone can be. The stones with the round holes are created when a little rock becomes trapped in a depression and gets swirled around continually for years in the rocks your son has. The little white rock does look like it has had chips knocked off whether by nature or man is hard to tell. This is an example on a large scale of what happened with the stones you have.download.jpg

Thank you, that makes sense. I thought the placement of the holes where off for being purposely made.
